Music Video with National Recording Artist Afroman

Services Used: Music Video

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Back in 2014 I was presented with a unique opportunity to film a music video for national recording artist Afroman, for his new single “Smoke On It.” Joseph “Afroman” Foreman presented me with an .mp3 of the song, the suggestion to have break dancers included in the concept of the video somehow and said he had three days he could shoot with us while in town for a few shows.

Working with some of the most creative people in Dallas / Fort Worth along with support from several local businesses and activist organizations, this video represents my first meaningful contribution to the world of rap music. The fact that this particular music video is for an artist I honestly used to listen to in high school makes the victories of this video taste all the more sweet.

Thank you to everyone who made this possible! The next time someone you know mentions making a music video, I hope you’ll send them to iamshaun.com. New business or press inquiries, please contact howdy@iamshaun.com.
